This year to make arriving to Rock Oyster by car an easier and smoother process, we’ve introduced a snazzy ANPR system. This means once you’ve purchased your car parking pass for our Weekend (Blue) and Day (Red) car parks, you will need to register your vehicle in advance of arriving to the festival.
Below you’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to register your vehicle.
Please note, you must have a valid parking pass to park with us at Rock Oyster to avoid receiving a Parking Charge Notice (PCN). The ANPR system will not operate for our Boutique Camping & Camel Camp (Yellow) car park.
How do I register my vehicle for the ANPR system?
The following steps outline how to add your vehicle registration plate number:
It’s THAT simple!
What if I need to change my registration?
That’s not a problem! Just send us an email to info@rockoysterfestival.co.uk with your name, email address and the Parking Reference number from the original email you were sent to register your vehicle and we can reset it for you.
I don’t know the registration of my vehicle yet, what should I do?
That’s not an issue, you will have up to 2 days before the festival to register a vehicle on your parking pass.
What do I do if I arrive without a parking pass?
If you’ve got to Rock Oyster and suddenly realised you’ve not purchased a parking pass, no need to panic! When you get to the festival site there will be signage featuring payment information within the car parks explaining how to pay for parking.
If you arrive without a parking pass, please make sure you pay for your pass within the timeframe outline to avoid receiving a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
What facilities are available for general camping?
There are toilets and showers available in our general campsites.
Can I bring my campervan, motorhome or caravan?
Campervans, motorhomes and caravans are permitted, but you will need to purchase a separate Live-in Vehicle pass, as well as Weekend Camping tickets for the guests staying within the Live-in Vehicle. One Live-in Vehicle allowed per pitch. Pitches are 6x7m and you must fit within this space. If you need more space please book 2 x pitches. Awnings are allowed as long as they fit within your pitch but tents not attached to the vehicle are not permitted in this area. If you’re bringing a caravan with towing vehicle and need more space, please book 2 x pitches.
Is there a restriction on tent sizes?
Yes, as the site has a limited capacity, so we have a strict policy of normal sized family tents only. We politely ask that you only bring the size tent you need for your party. Please do not bring mega-tents or gazebos as we do not have space and you will be asked to remove these.
