Rick and Jill opened The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow in 1975. Over the last 47 years, the family business has grown to include 10 restaurants across the south of England, from Fistral, Newquay to Barnes, London. Each celebrates Rick’s classic seafood dishes in beautiful surroundings – “We’ve never thought of our restaurants as temples of gastronomy, they’re just places where the fish is fresh and exhilarating and the atmosphere alive and full of fun.”  

In recent years, Stein’s at Home has grown to offer homeware by Jill and Kate Stein, wines selected by Charlie, signed cookery books, meal boxes and an online fishmonger too, so you can recreate a Rick Stein experience wherever you live in the country.  

Rick Stein is more than restaurants though. 40 hotel rooms, self-catering accommodation and shepherd’s huts are waiting to welcome you to stay in Cornwall, learn to cook the Rick Stein way at the Cookery School that overlooks the Camel Estuary and shop for Cornish inspired homeware, food and drink in the Deli, Gift Shop and Fishmongers, all in Padstow.   

Restaurant Rick Stein will feature as one of the Chef Tipis at Rock Oyster 2022.
