Lauren Lovatt is a Plant Based Chef and Entrepreneur. The founder of the Plant Academy in London and the author of Mind Food, launching February 2022.
Early on in her career Lauren set up an aspirational Vegan restaurant, Asparagasm, which led her to host her own Plant based pop up nights around Europe whilst gaining a wealth of experience developing recipes, writing menus and creating events. With a keen eye for plating and a passion for the most vibrant, seasonal ingredients. Her style is all about using natural ingredients, elevated. Always with a focus on local and seasonal produce with sprinkles of adaptogens and tonic herbs.
Now teaching worldwide from Bali to Barcelona as well as at prestigious institutions such as Leith’s school of food and wine her passion lies in sharing and inspiring a knowledge for plant based food. Working with brands, individuals and concepts internationally with the most recent being an ongoing collaboration curating the menus and training the team for HOY + ‘Mesa’ – Paris’ first plant based boutique hotel in Montmartre.
With this drive to bring dreams to life through food Lauren set up the ‘Plant Academy’ in East London which just last year led her to Co-create The Food Studio, a collaborative space with Sara Kiyo Popowa, of @shisodelicious, as a space to create, film, make images and explore the power of the visual as well as hosting Plant Academy from.
The Plant Academy inspires passion through plants through teaching cutting edge courses that enable students to discover and express their essence through food and have a positive impact on the food system, always striving to share the best in plant based food working with the leading minds in the industry.
